We really enjoyed our stay in Donnybrook Hall! The staff was always very friendly and helpful.

Just great: quiet, great location (buses, Aircoach, 25 minute walk to Centre & UCD), friendly & efficient staff, huge choice in breakfast... Room was really nice, too. If I'm ever back in Dublin, I'll get a room here!

I have just spent 7 nights at Donnybrook Hall. I was travelling on my own and intended 3 nights in Dublin and spread the rest around Ireland. I was so comfortable and made feel so welcome at this clean,bright B&B that I didn't want to leave, so Terry the host organised my day trips around the country and the friendly staff, Jane and Martina made my stay very memorable. I would recommend to anyone this lovely place, close to transport and walking distance to the city as well as a village shopping centre with anything you might need for your stay.

Donnybrook Hall is an ideal place to stay in Dublin, particularly if you want to be within a reasonable distance to the city center, but far enough away to enjoy a quiet night's sleep. The rates are quite reasonable for the high level of quality accommodation offered.
The house itself is beautifully decorated and amazingly clean. My room was lovely, with a spacious en suite bathroom.

A delightful b&b - just returned from a 2 night stay at Donnybrook Hall and would definitely recommend this place to anyone travelling to Dublin. Located aprox 20 mins from city centre via local transport it was very convenient. I found the place very clean with beautiful garden area and breakfast provided great choice. Friendly owner and staff, very eager to please his guests, nothing too much trouble. Will definitely stay there again.

From Dublin City Centre

Nassau Street runs beside Trinity College. Follow Nassau Street east (R118) following the signs for Ballsbridge and the N11. Nassau Street becomes Leinster Street, then Clare Street, then Merrion Square North. When the road (R118) passes over the Grand Canal it becomes Northumberland Road. Go past the round American Embassy and take the first right once past Jury's Hotel onto Herbert Park Road. Turn left onto Morehampton Road, then right at O'Connells Restaurant onto Belmont Avenue.

It sounds more complicated than it is because the same street has so many different names. In summary, take R118 to the first right past Jury's Hotel onto Herbert Park Road. Left onto Morehampton Road, right at O'Connells and you're there.

Driving from Dun Laoghaire Harbour - 7km - 15 minutes

Start out at Dun Laoghaire Harbour- R118
Continue forward onto Dunleary Road - N31
At traffic lights continue forward onto Dunleary Road - N31
At traffit lights turn left onto Brighton Avenue
The take next right onto Monkstown Road - R119
At traffic signals turn right onto Temple Hill - R113
Continue forward onto Frascati Road - N31
At traffic signals continue forward onto Rock Road - N31
At traffic signals continue forward onto Rock Road - R118 (signposted The North N1, N2, N3)
Continue forward onto Rock Road - R118 Entering Dublin - R118
At traffic signals continue forward onto Merrion Road - R118 (signposted City Centre)
Continue forward with St. Vincent's University Hospital on your left
At traffic signals continue forward into Merrion Road
Continue forward for 1 mile passing the RDS on your left
Once you pass the RDS continue on and take the second left at the second set of lights and turn into Herbert Park.
Continue forward and then left onto Morehampton Road.
Turn right at O'Connells Restaurant onto Belmont Avenue.
We are on the left side of Belmont Avenue and prominently signed.
